GOOD
Water: 85°F

Water lightly stained; 85 degrees; 0.17 feet above pool. Lake Tawakoni continues to fish well as we settle into a late summer pattern. Water temperatures have warmed into the mid 80s and we are seeing fish on all parts of the lake. The hybrid striper and white bass are active in all areas of the lake feeding on schools of shad and sometimes feeding on the surface. Best lures have been the slab spoon, but live shad is also working. The eating sized catfish bite is great. Easy limits in 15-25 feet are common using punch and dip prepared baits. Crappie are decent on minnows on bridge pylons and submerged brush piles in 10-15 feet. Largemouth are good on senkos, square bills and frogs. The frog bite is at daylight and in the pads. Report by Captain Michael Littlejohn, Lake Tawakoni Guide Service.
