Navarro Mills Lake Fishing Guide

Angling Opportunities

Navarro Mills Lake provides excellent opportunity for white crappie and catfish. However, turbid water makes fishing for largemouth bass and sunfishes difficult. White bass fishing is very good at times.

Cover & Structure

Inundated timber is abundant in the upper end of the lake. However, this shallow water area can be difficult to access during low water periods. Siltation from the watershed has exacerbated this condition.

Tips & Tactics

Bass fishermen should look for patches of pondweed along the north shoreline. Fish these with buzz baits or jig and eel combinations in the spring during the spawn. Catfish and crappie fishermen will find live bait works best in the inundated timber in the upper end.

Fishing Regulations

All species at Navarro Mills Lake are managed under standard Texas statewide regulations.
