Angling Opportunities
Marine Creek Lake is a 250-acre reservoir offering fishing for Largemouth bass, Spotted bass, Catfish and more. Spring and fall are peak seasons across all species.
Cover & Structure
The primary cover at Marine Creek is native emergent vegetation along the shoreline. The dam offers some riprap that holds sunfish, crappie, and bass. There is also an old roadbed submerged directly off the boat ramp on the west side of the lake that holds some fish.
Tips & Tactics
Catfish can be caught throughout the lake although they are not overly abundant. Crappie can be caught on minnows and jigs along the dam and in the deeper water in the upper ends of the lake around brush piles. Bass are found along the riprap on the dam as well as on the edges of the emergent vegetation. Sunfish can be caught with live worms along the shore. Marine Creek has a nice population of redear sunfish with some nice warmouth being present also.
Fishing Regulations
Marine Creek Lake has special regulations on some fishes. Check current TPWD regulations before your trip.
